Please be advised that the Trustees of the Little Church of La Villita have made the difficult decision to cancel the STARVING ARTIST ART SHOW® for the CURRENT YEAR ONLY - 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please read the 2026 Starving Artist Art Show® Letter to Artists for complete details.
NOTICE: To all of our Artist participants and the general public alike, the Starving Artist Art Show® is currently, and has always been during its 64 year history, the ANNUAL fund-raiser of the Orthodox Ecumenical Church, Inc., dba Little Church of La Villita. Net proceeds are used to help the Little Church and its Food Program that has been in existence since 1957. Our show is generally held the first full weekend in April each year. Occasionally, the date must be changed due to scheduling conflicts with other large events held in the La Villita Village. THE LITTLE CHURCH PRODUCES ONLY ONE ART SHOW PER YEAR. In 1981 a National Registered Trademark for the Starving Artist Art Show® was obtained in order to preserve the popular event for San Antonio and future generations. Please take note that all of our printed materials and advertising will contain the registered trademark symbol ® immediately after our show name.
The Little Church of La Villita is a non-denominational Church located in the Historic La Villita Village in downtown San Antonio, Texas. We are an active Church with ongoing projects such as a food pantry, clothing distribution, annual Thanksgiving Basket distribution, availability for rental of the Church for religious ceremonies such as weddings, baptisms, etc. We also have a retail presence in La Villita, the Starving Artist Art Gallery.
